Nereida “Nettie” Melendez disappeared on the morning of her graduation in June of 1989 when she went to drop off a van she had borrowed for the weekend from her work. When she didn’t show for graduation, her family knew something was wrong. By the next afternoon, her older brothers, after hours of searching, discovered Nettie’s lifeless body face-down in the park. She had been strangled to death.

The body of Gail Miles was discovered in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston on Saturday, December 3, 2011. She was 60 years old and had been brutally killed in her own apartment in a building that she had owned for nearly 40 years. Gail was a fighter for many years as a cop at the Watertown Police Department and it’s believed that she knew her killer.
